MR-10

Designed in the same general trend that the MR-08, the MR-10 show proudly her classic looking style, an effective hull and a versatility of use

The Elegance of the classic style
Her sloping transom, her rounded coaming, her bulwark, her cutter’s rig with bowsprit find directly inspiration among the classic boat design of first part of the XXth century. On top of this having a pleasant looking, these options participate in the comfort and the sailing agreement, like for instance the bulwark which increase security on the deck or the bowsprit which make easier the use of an asymmetric spinnaker. For this design, simple solutions have been chosen: a hull without concave garboard for an easier construction, a simple deck layout, the use of a sail-drive engine, a bermudian rig. Likewise, a clear and rational accommodation offers five berth, a salon, a large galley, a bathroom, a chart table and lockers.

Classic looking doesn’t preclude good performance !
A beam fairly backwards and pretty width aft sections qualify this modern and powerful hull. The pivoting centreboard built-in the external lead gives good abilities to sail close to the wind and allow to grounding. In the lights air, an asymmetrical spinnaker will be hold easily thanks to the bowsprit. A strip-planking or a cold-molded method can be employed to build the hull. This kind of construction guarantees straightness to the structure and allow a boat’s displacement lower than equivalent mass-produced boat.

Thus, the MR-10 can be described as an alternative to mass-produced boat combining a classic aesthetic, an easy of used and good performance.
